The Scottsdale men's soccer team opened conference play with a 3-1 win over Chandler-Gilbert tonight at SCC.

Scottsdale is now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the ACCAC.

Brodi Barone got the Artichokes out front with an unassisted goal in the 13^th minute. Derek Moran would steal the ball and feed Dylan Nevarez for a goal in the 48^th minute to give SCC a 2-0 lead. Chandler-Gilbert cut the lead back to one with a goal in the 53^rd minute. Alan Acosta put the game on ice with a tally in the 68^th minute. Moran also assisted on that goal.

Scottsdale registered 24 shots on the night and had 11 corner kicks.

SCC will next face Mesa on Tuesday, September 9 at 8 p.m. Mesa drew 1-1 with PVCC tonight in their conference opener.
