Men's Soccer Falls to GCC in Wild Second Half
A seven-goal second half saw the Artichokes men's soccer team come up short in a 4-3 loss to Glendale at SCC.
The loss drops Scottsdale to 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the league.
Glendale scored in the 54th and 58th minutes to grab a 2-0 lead in the second half. Hayden Quest headed in a goal in the 64th minute to get SCC within one. A minute later Luke Curless headed in a goal off a corner from Quest to even the match at 2-2. GCC regained the lead once again with a goal in the 69th minute. Alan Acosta scored on a free kick in the 78th and things were level once again at 3-3. GCC would win the match with a goal in the 85th minute.
Glendale outshot Scottsdale 15-13. Each side was charged with seven yellow cards.
SCC will next face #7 Pima. That match will be on Tuesday, September 23 at 8 p.m.
