The Scottsdale volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 3-0 win over Phoenix tonight at SCC. The Artichokes swept the Bears in the season series.

SCC improved to 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the ACCAC.

The Artichokes controlled the opening set winning 25-17. With the scored tied 11-11 in the second set, SCC would use an 8-3 run to go up 19-14. The Bears battled back and eventually knotted the set a 23-23. SCC would take the next two points and the set. Phoenix held a 19-15 third set lead, but the Artichokes finished strong to win it 25-22.

Scottsdale will next be in action on Friday, October 17 when they travel to South Mountain. SCC has twice beaten SMCC this season.
