Scottsdale cruises past Taylormade
The Scottsdale men's basketball team returned from the holiday break with a 96-67 win over Taylormade Prep this afternoon at SCC.
SCC improves to 9-6 overall this season.
The Artichokes led 47-33 at the half and outscored Taylormade by a similar margin of 49-34 in the second half.
Scottsdale shot 51.4% from the field for the game and were 10-for-26 from the behind the arc for a 38.5% clip. They dominated the glass with a 53-30 advantage.
Conway Cummard led SCC with 24 points on 10-for-11 shooting. Coleman Fields added 15. McCade Peterson had a team-best 10 rebounds. Davion Harris dished out seven assists.
Scottsdale will now spend the rest of the season in ACCAC play, beginning on Wednesday, January 7 when they host South Mountain at 7:30 p.m.
