The #24 Scottsdale women's basketball team used a strong second half to defeat Glendale 72-46 this afternoon at SCC.

The Artichokes are now 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the ACCAC. They are currently tied for second in the league, two games back of Mesa.

The game this afternoon was knotted at 22-22 at the half. Scottsdale opened the third quarter on an 11-0 run and never looked back. They would lead 43-28 after three and outscored the Gauchos 50-24 in the second half.

Savannah Helms led SCC with 15 points. She scored 13 of them in the fourth quarter. Mia Davis had 13 points, all coming in the second half. MorningRain Honani had 11, with three 3-pointers.

Scottsdale will next travel to Tucson on Wednesday, January 14 when they face #8 Pima. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. The Artichokes defeated the Aztecs 67-61 on December 17 at SCC.
