Artichokes run away from Mesa
The Scottsdale men's basketball team picked up a crucial win tonight, 88-68 over Mesa at SCC.
Scottsdale is now 10-9 overall and 4-4 in the ACCAC. More importantly, SCC has clinched the season series and postseason tiebreaker with Mesa, having won the first two meetings this season, with one matchup between the two remaining.
Mesa led early but the Artichokes took control and carried a 39-33 advantage at the break. Scottsdale led by double-digits most of the second half and by as many as 22.
Davion Harris led SCC with 21 points. He drilled five 3-pointers. McCade Peterson added 15.
Next up is a home matchup with Phoenix on Saturday, January 24. Tipoff is 4 p.m. SCC beat PC 74-60 in their first meeting this season on December 10 at Phoenix.
