Gorham's 22 leads Men's Basketball past GCC
Scottsdale men's basketball picked up a huge road win tonight, defeating Glendale 76-65.
SCC is now 12-11 overall and 6-6 in the league. They are currently tied for third with Glendale and are a game ahead of Mesa and three ahead of Chandler-Gilbert. The Artichokes own the tiebreaker over Mesa so the one-game advantage in the standings is two games in relation to playoff selection. The top four teams make the Region 1 playoffs and there are six games remaining in the conference season.
Scottsdale led 68-65 with two minutes left and went on an 8-0 run to close the game out tonight.
Tim Gorham led the Artichokes with an impressive 22-point effort. 18 of which came in the opening half. It was his season-high point total. Quincy Kirk added 13, while Bryce Anderson and Coleman Fields had 12.
The schedule does not get any easier for Scottsdale as next up is a game with undefeated and third-ranked Pima (23-0). That game will be at SCC on Saturday, February 7. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m.
