PV outlasts SCC in 12
Scottsdale built an early lead but couldn't hold on, falling 5-3 in 12 innings to Paradise Valley at SCC.
The Artichokes (26-22, 19-16) struck first with three runs in the third inning behind RBI hits from Dylan Frank, Luke Calendo, and Logan Spetz.
Paradise Valley broke through in the eighth with two runs to tie the game, then sealed it with a two-run homer in the 12th inning.
Scottsdale starter Braden Burness was dominant, allowing just one run over 7.0 innings while striking out 13. Carson Feddema (3-1) took the loss in relief.
SCC next travels to Mesa for a game on Friday, April 17. First pitch is 3 p.m.
