Scottsdale softball will travel to Tucson for the NJCAA Region I Tournament beginning on Thursday, May 7.

SCC (22-29, 18-24) earned the No. 4 seed and will face No. 1 seed Pima (44-7, 36-6). The Artichokes are making their third consecutive trip to the tournament. 

In the other matchup, No. 2 South Mountain (44-11, 35-7) will face off with No. 3 Phoenix (37-11, 31-11).

• Thursday, May 7

  • Game 1: No. 2 South Mountain vs. No. 3 Phoenix College - 11 a.m.

  • Game 2: No. 1 Pima vs. No. 4 Scottsdale - 2 p.m.

• Friday, May 8

  • Game 3: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 - 9 a.m.

  • Game 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 - Noon

  • Game 5: Loser Game 4 vs. Winner Game 3 - 3 p.m.

• Saturday, May 9

  • Game 6: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5 - Noon

  • Game 7 (if necessary) - 3 p.m.

All games throughout the tournament will be streamed on the Pima CC Aztecs Athletics YouTube Channel.

Scottsdale also learned that Jacee Larson was named to the All-ACCAC First Team. Kailtn Montoya  was named to the All-ACCAC Second Team and Alma Teilon was named to the All-ACCAC Third Team.
