Softball campaign comes to an end with loss to Phoenix

The No. 4 seed Scottsdale softball season came to an end with an 8-0 loss to No. 3 seed Phoenix at the 2026 NJCAA Region I Division II Tournament in Tucson, Ariz.

Phoenix scored once in the second inning and added another in the third before breaking the game open with three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth. Scottsdale (22-31) was unable to generate offense against Phoenix pitcher Aubree Lovo, who struck out five and allowed just one hit.

Alexandria Armstrong accounted for Scottsdale's lone hit with a double, while Tati Solano drew the team's only walk.

Kailyn Montoya (10-11) started and took the loss after allowing five runs on six hits over 3.2 innings.
