The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team picked up a nice non-conference win over NJCAA D1 College of Southern Nevada. Scottsdale came out the gates down 2 at the end of the 1st quarter, but regrouped quickly and held onto a narrow 1 point lead at the half. SCC pushed the lead to 9 points at the end of the 3rd quarter, and eventually won by the final score of 73-62. Scottsdale was led by Halle Payne who finished the day with 13 points. Alayna Benvaides-Johnson had a great game off the bench chipping in 16 points. Scottsdale is now (4-0) on the season as they enter ACCAC conference play by hosting Cochise College on Wednesday, November 17th at 5:30 PM.
