The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team had a hard fought game last night, but came up short against national powerhouse Central Arizona College. SCC trailed 13-9 at the end of the 1st quarter, but they were able to gain back a little ground going into halftime only down 3. CAC continued to extend their lead in the 3rd and 4th quarters, eventually knocking off the Artichokes by the final score of 64-54. Scottsdale was led by Elysia Fleetwood who finished with 18 points off the bench. Malia Ukestine also ended the night in double-figures with 12 points. This loss puts SCC at (10-7, 4-5) for the season. Scottsdale will now have back to back games on Friday and Saturday as they go on the road to take on Pima Community College on Friday at 5:30 PM. SCC will then play host to Arizona Western College on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
